Saint Joseph's glory days

I found some pictures of Saint Joseph's Church in San Francisco, the one that closed down about 10 years ago. The parishoners moved to Saint Patrick's down the street.

Holy Mass at Saint Joseph's.

This building is right next door to Saint Joseph's. It looks as if though it had been used as a hall, and perhaps was the original church.

This brings back memories. I can remember going to many rummage sales there in the hall with my grandmother, a member of the Catholic Ladies Aid Society. I attended grammar school there from 1952 to 1958. I was the Virgin Mary in 1st grade at a Christmas school assembly.
